Bob Hartley - Keyboards & vocals
Scientists are still trying to understand Bob Hartley. An introvert with an
unreasonably high opinion of himself, Bob has been awaiting the arrival of
the men in white suits for some time now. Until they come to take him away
(HA HA!) Bob is enjoying playing his keyboard and singing and seeing the
audience have a wonderful time.
Born in Wichita, Kansas, Bob began writing songs on his ukulele at the age of
7. Dreading a lifetime of poverty and obscurity he soon turned to the piano.
He has since performed with Bo Diddley, The Coasters, The Marvelletes, The
Pat McJimsey Band, Rudy Love, Martina McBride, among others. Bob is a unique,
strong, soulful performer.
Though we probably shouldn't, we now provide you with a peek inside the mind
of Bob:
INTERVIEWER: List all the musical instruments you play.
BOB: There hasn't been a musical instrument invented that I can't
play, and I play them all equally badly.
INTERVIEWER: Who are your heroes, musical or otherwise?
BOB: Stevie Wonder, Brian Eno, Brian Wilson, Frank Stallone.
INTERVIEWER: If you ruled the world, what new law would you enact?
BOB: No more of this "I before E except after C" jazz. Just put them in any
order you like!
INTERVIEWER: What's your sign?
BOB: Peace, brother.
