John Jones - Bass & vocals

Strong and straightforward in personality as well as in music, bassist John

Jones helps provide KC Prime with its secure foundation and its wonderful

grooves. Well-versed in melodic ballad-style, funk, country or straight-ahead

rock-and-roll, John can play it all.

Almost as avid a motorcyclist as a musician, John has been playing

professionally since he was 16, having performed with The Drifters as well as

with local groups Shelter and Magic.

When asked to name his heroes he replied, "Billy Joel, The Beatles, The Dixie

Dregs, Gino Vannelli and...oh, I almost forgot--Richard Nixon. He cancelled

the draft and ended the Vietnam War. I was number 11."

INTERVIEWER: What has been your favorite gig, and why?

JOHN: Any gig where the band sounds good and the audience has a great time.

INTERVIEWER: If you ruled the world, what new law would you enact?

JOHN: ...(Pause)... I'd better leave this one alone.
